NASA TweetUp Jewelry!

When I found out I was picked to attend the STS134 #NASATweetUp I wanted to have something fun and unique to commemorate the event.  I instantly went to one of my favorite sites, Etsy because they always have different items that you can't find just anywhere!  I did various searches for NASA, space, shuttle, etc  found some awesome things like this gorgeous lanyard by ArtisticTouches in IL.  I am in love with it, but don't think that it will work for the TweetUp with the lanyard we'll already get, having a backpack on, a camera on, and all the other stuff. However, since I am still in love with it, so I haven't ruled out getting it just because it's beautiful!

Doing some more searches I was able to find the shuttle and astronaut beads from TheCraftyBead. Using the lanyard by ArtisiticTouches as an inspiration, I started getting to work on a necklace with a toned down design.  I love the necklace and earrings I came up with and I am so happy to finally have a use for the irridescent star beads I have had in my stash for forever!

Ugh, I totally have to get rid of the spots on my lens before Thursday too!  I can't have those annoying 3 dots in my pictures for the #NASATweetUp!

I know I'm not the only one getting a commorative fashion accessory for the #NASATweetUp, Jennifer Huber is too!  Her sister made her a super creative feather hair clip that I love!  Go check it out, I'll wait here.....  See, I told you it was great :) The countdown is on, and it's less than a week until Jennifer and I will be rocking our #NASATweetUp inspired accessories!

It's Spring Time!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Woohoo!!  March 20th was the official start to spring!  it's such a wonderful time of year :)  Granted, we don't get much of a winter in Florida (and definitely don't have the feet of snow our northern neighbors get) it still gets cold and dreary.  Spring means great weather, new plants, baby animals, and gorgeous outdoor furniture!
I absolutely adore  Pier 1 and all the fun new outdoor furniture and decor they have!  They are always running specials and their prices are already good to begin with.  I could walk around their stores all day!  Seeing all the new items makes me want to start planning an outdoor dinner party for my friends and family.  Even better than new products, low prices and specials- a LOT of new items are indoor/outdoor! (Helpful for our Florida storm seasons and I have to pull things indoors)

My favorite item is this Adjustable Chaise Lounge
it would be perfect for my front porch!
Pier 1 is also doing one of my favorite social media activities, they are hosting Pier 1 Tweetups!!  how exciting!!  Sadly I missed the one in Orlando and the one in Kissimmee, but I'll be watching the tweetup page to see if any more Florida dates are coming.  The next one is April 20th in their 5th Ave NYC store.

Microsoft OneNote

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Microsoft for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Ahhhhh I can finally talk about my AMAZING project I've been working on! I got what seemed to be one of those "too good to be true" emails. I was being offered the chance to make a Microsoft OneNote trip book and video to be shared with Microsoft and their site visitors, and in return I'd get the software, an 8 GB HD Flip and a tripod for the Flip, plus payment when I finished. I knew the company who sent it and I only had to send them my address and my top 5 cities from an attached list so I went for it. Within the week I had my goodies in hand and my city - New Orleans!

A friend of mine talked up OneNote like crazy, he uses it for everything! I was excited when I got my new netbook and I got it use OneNote for myself. It is SO easy to use and perfect for storing all forms of information. You can add pictures, videos, audio, internal links, external links, files and more all in one spot. It really was perfect for creating my New Orleans trip book. I was able to keep everything together - no scrambling to find printouts, search for addresses, files or anything. I organized my tabs- places to stay, eat, visit, shop, things to do. Each of those tabs could also have pages to get even more organized, I didn't get that far, but next time we go to New Orleans I think I'll add more details into my trip book!

Please make sure you head on over to OneNote TripBook and check out my New Orleans trip book! I'll give you a sneak peek:

NMEDA

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NMEDA for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you heard of NMEDA? Well, let me tell you about them!  NMEDA is a non-profit trade association that educates consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealer.  They don't actually sell anything; they are just a very helpful association that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people.  All of their members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Their dealers are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for disabled people.  Beware of adapted wheelchair vehicles sold over the Internet or through catalogs as they will be generic. After a personalized “in-person” evaluation, you can be sure you are getting the right driving solution customized to your specific lifestyle and needs.

NMEDA doesn't just have dealers, they also have a Quality Assurance Program (QAP).  Their QAP is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. It is based on the principle that in order to satisfy customers consistently, companies must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.  You want your family in good hands don't you?

Check out NMEDA and tell me where your closest dealer is.  I have 2 NMEDA dealers within 40 miles of my place!
