Road Trip

So it looks like we'll be heading back to Texas at the end of the month. Mostly to visit family again, Kirk's grandmother isn't doing to well. Hopefully we'll get to do some other little things here and there while we are there. Last trip was really just a weekend trip. It's a long drive, 16 hours so I'll have to figure out some things to do along the way. Already have my list of electronics that I need to bring along, I'm sure I'm going to at least try for some geocaches, I want to go back to the zoo too, maybe hit a local comic book store, try to do some scrapbooking or crafting in the car and at night!

Geocaching

So I recently had to redo my geocaching stats because my beloved stats site has decided to end their site due to personal reasons. I checked out a few of them and ended up picking http://www.mygeocachingprofile.com/ which looks pretty good. While playing with the various charts and graphs that it will display for you I realized that I need to do some harder caches!! Seems that the majority of the ones I've done have been a 1 out of 5 on terrain and 1 out of 5 on difficulty, and I've only managed one 4 so far. I need to find some more challenging caches, even if they aren't too close to home. They have the "Well-Rounded Cacher Challenge" as one of the options, it gives each possible rating combination and the first cache that you've done of that rating. This is mine as of today. By the looks of it, I have a lot to get done :)

It looks like we'll be doing another road trip to Texas at the end of the month so maybe I can try to fill in the gaps a little on the way there and back. We'll see, Kirk's not so big on the caching. Although I think I can convince him that I reallllllly need to get some caches in states other than Florida.... I was only able to snag one in Texas the last time we were there and we passed through several other states.

Today I decided to sign up for SocialSpark. It is an awesome site that allows you to blog about products that you love and use, sites you visit, all kinds of things! It was really easy to sign up; it only took me about 5 minutes and I was good to go! It seems like there are a ton of opportunities for me to blogabout as well, I am really looking forward to it. Even just at first glance, there are almost a dozen recent topics, and eight featured topics. Did I mention that you get paid to write the blog posts? Not just a few cents here and there, the ones I'm seeing range from as low as ten dollars to as much as two hundred dollars! Hopefully this really pans out and that I am qualified for them. We will have to see how it goes, but I will definitely pass it along whatever happens with it to you! I suggest you check it out too! Sign up for SocialSpark I can't wait to tell you all about the great experiences that I am hoping I will be having with it :) If you have any experience with it, please let me know. Also definitely let me know if you sign up for it too!

twine tastes so good cats ask for it by name

My kitten is so funny! He goes from running around the house for hours at a time playing by himself with his toys, to sleeping in the oddest positions that totally don't look comfortable! How I wish I could be like him sometimes.
